PowerBear Trap

A large foothold trap made of steel. Traps are found lying around the area waiting to be picked up and set anywhere.

BEAR TRAP

By default, you start the trial with 2 Bear Traps. Find and collect more throughout the environment.

Set Bear Trap:

Press and hold the Power button to set a Bear Trap on a valid location in front of you. A set Bear Trap will immobilize and incapacitate any player that steps on it. A healthy Survivor that steps in a set Bear Trap will also become injured but may attempt to escape the trap. Press the Interaction button to pick-up a nearby Survivor who is Incapacitated by a Bear Trap.

Reset Trap:

Press and hold the Power button while standing near a Bear Trap in the environment to reset it where it lies, if it is not already set.

Setting and resetting Bear Traps grants The Trapper 7.5% Haste for 5 seconds.

Collect Bear Trap:

Press the Interaction button while standing near a Bear Trap in the environment to collect it. By default, you may carry a maximum of 2 Bear Traps at any time.

Coffee GroundsUncommon

An old rusted can containing damp coffee grounds.

Increases the Haste status effect gained after setting a Bear Trap by 5%.

Haste increases Killer movement speed.

Lengthened JawsUncommon

Jaws with long teeth that dig further into the flesh than a conventional Bear Trap.

When Survivors escape Bear Traps, they are inflicted with Deep Wound.

Deep Wound will put a Survivor in the dying state unless it is mended before the timer runs out.

Serrated JawsUncommon

These replacement Bear Trap jaws have saw like blades which cause awful open wounds when they snap.

Bear Traps inflict Hemorrhage on trapped Survivors until they are healed.

Hemorrhage regresses healing progress when not healing, and increases blood trails left by injured Survivors. This lasts for a set duration or until fully healed.

Wax BrickUncommon

A block of wax used to lower friction and facilitate movement in mechanical parts.

Increases the time required to rescue a Survivor or attempt escape from a Bear Trap by 33%.

Fastening ToolsRare

A specialized set of tools used to fasten Bear Traps to ensure their effectiveness.

Increases Bear Trap setting speed by 50%.Increases the time required to rescue a Survivor or attempt escape from a Bear Trap by 25%.

Rusted JawsRare

These Bear Trap jaws are covered with crusty and volatile rust spots that makes injuries particularly difficult to heal.

Bear Traps inflict Mangled on trapped survivors for 70 seconds.

Mangled increases time required to heal by 25% and lasts for a set duration or until fully healed.

Secondary CoilRare

A secondary coil which keeps a Bear Trap effective in times when the primary coils becomes unusable.

Increases time required for Survivors to disarm Bear Traps by 50%.

Tar BottleRare

A black, matte and sticky substance similar to tar. When applied to Bear Traps, makes them far less noticeable.

Darkens the appearance of Bear Traps.

A cured leather waist bag. Large and sturdy to transport hunting equipment.

Start with 1 extra Bear Trap.Allows the transportation of 1 extra Bear Trap.

Honing StoneVery rare

When used with the Bear Trap, the honing stone sharpens its blades. The razor-sharp blades inflicts deep wounds aimed at bleeding the victim as fast as possible.

The trapped victim is left dying instead of injured if they free themselves.

Oily CoilVery rare

An oiled spring that marks the hands of those who meddle with a Bear Trap.

When resetting a Bear Trap, reveal the aura of the most recent Survivor to disarm it for 5 seconds.

Tension SpringVery rare

A high tension spring that snaps back into place after being stretched.

A Bear Trap resets 2 seconds after a Survivor escapes from it.

Trapper SackVery rare

A crude leather sack suitable for foraging.

All Bear Traps are carried at the beginning of the Trial instead of spawning on the map.Bear Traps cannot be picked up.

Bloody CoilVisceral

Part sticky, part slippery, this grim liquid makes handling the traps' springs more dangerous.

When a Bear Trap is disarmed by a healthy Survivor, the bloody coils exact their price and that Survivor becomes injured.

Iridescent StoneVisceral

Traps sharpened with this sickly gleaming stone seem to gain a life of their own.

Every 30 seconds, one closed Bear Trap chosen at random becomes set.
